Our History

storefrontThe Pennsylvania Diamond Exchange (PDE) opened its doors in 1979 as a family-owned diamond importer focused on selling loose diamonds to commercial retail stores and jewelers. In 1985, the Pennsylvania Diamond Exchange opened its retail location in the heart of Philadelphia’s prestigious Jeweler’s Row and began passing our wholesale savings onto consumers. Still a family-owned business, we’re committed to providing the perfect diamond to our customers at the absolute lowest prices possible. In addition to loose diamonds our offerings have expanded to include some of the greatest deals available to the public on other jewelry such as diamond engagement rings, diamond wedding bands, diamond eternity bands, diamond stud earrings, diamond tennis bracelets, and diamond tennis necklaces.

Fast Insured Delivery

Most items will be shipped within 1-2 business days of purchase. Items out of stock, or custom/personalized items (including rings which need custom sizing) may ship at later dates. For your protection, orders of $100 or more require a signature upon delivery, regardless of any signature waivers on file. We will only ship to the billing address associated with your method of payment.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been processed on our website, you’ll receive an email containing a shipping confirmation. You may contact us via email for tracking information if it has not been provided to you promptly.

Fully Insured Delivery

For security and insurance purposes ALL products being shipped will require a signature upon their delivery. The Pennsylvania Diamond Exchange encourages all of our clients to inspect their packages for evidence of tampering or damage prior to accepting the package from the shipping carrier. Items may also be picked up in person at our Philadelphia retail location.


Conflict-Free Diamonds

The Pennsylvania Diamond Exchange stands with the global diamond industry in its no-tolerance policy on conflict diamonds. All of our diamonds are imported or exported through origins and suppliers in conformance of the Kimberley process, and we will continue to support any process which works to uphold legitimacy in diamond the diamond trade. Hassle-free Returns & Exchanges

The Pennsylvania Diamond Exchange is committed to your 100% satisfaction. We take pride in the quality of our workmanship, and the overall experience of our customers. If you decide to return a purchase made on our website, for any reason at all, Pennsylvania Diamond Exchange will issue a refund for your items provided the package is postmarked within 15 days of you receiving the items. We will honor exchanges for up to 30 days after the date of purchase. Any exchanges or upgrades are final.

Contents of the packaging must be in its original condition and secure within its box. Please do not include any indication of the package’s contents on the exterior of the box.

To begin processing your return, call (215) 238-0197 and provide all of your transaction details to a customer service representative. You will be given instructions and authorization to return your items. We will not accept any returns without prior authorization.

For your protection, we recommend the use of insured shipping methods such as FedEx, UPS, or Insured Parcel Post for any returns. Please keep record of your tracking number. Pennsylvania Diamond Exchange is not responsible for loss or damaged return shipments.
